There is no narrator in this commercial, but instead they use a back track of Avicii's song "Hey, Brother" to tell the story.

Who is the Speaker or Author's Intended Audience?

This commercial is directed towards brothers and the unique relationship between them.  When one watches the video it evokes memories from the past of love, conflict, and the loyalty shared between the two.

How Do I Know Who the Audience Is?

I know who the audience is because of the story and chemistry portrayed in the commercial between the two brothers.  The commercial has little to no shots of others characters, every scene stars the two brothers as to not take away and of the emphasis.

How Has the Audience Influenced the Speaker or Author's Choice of Argumentative Strategies?

The audience influenced the speakers choice of argumentative strategy because it needed to be relatable.  If the commercial had portrayed two brothers who always got along and shared everything it would not have had such a large impact.  The speaker made a wise choice in showing the conflict and bickering as well as the loyalty between the brothers.

My experience with filming was fun!   There were lots of laughs involved and I was very interested in how various camera angles, perspectives, and lighting could create different moods within the scene.  One of the challenges I had when filming was that my actors would never be here at the same time, making it a very long process and causing it to become slightly rushed.  My editing experience was very simple, especially because I had had lots of experience during the summer doing tech crew at camp.  It took a while because I had taken lots of footage of a single shot, so I had to pick and choose which shots I liked best.  I used movie maker to edit my footage and put together my movie, it was very reliable and easy to navigate.

Excel is reliable, organised, and easy to use if you know how, however it is really boring in my opinion.  My experience with Excel was that it was simple to navigate, especially with the ready-to-use formulas.   There is nothing exciting about Excel, it is just a means of organization and budgeting.  Excel can be beneficial in your mortgages and keeping track of your expenses because you can present it in a layout that is easy for you to understand.  Excel has formulas that are ready for you to use and will put the information into a chart of your choice, so you don't have to worry about calculating the numbers personally or creating your own graph.

Weebly is a very simple site to navigate in order to create your own personal website.  There were SO many different tools at your disposal that made it look top quality.

This was created using Moovly.  The website was kind of slow at times, but it was a nice change from using Prezi or PowerPoint. It gives a very wide range of opportunities to use while making your presentation that were intriguing and eye catching.  I would definitely use this again in the future as a means of presentation.

Piracy: Good or Bad?

Piracy: Good or Bad?

Whether piracy is good or bad is really a matter of opinion.  The term piracy is defined as:

"The act of plagiarizing; taking someone''s words or ideas as if they were your own."

Piracy is in fact a criminal offence and can be classified as stealing because you are watching content without the owner being paid royalty for their work, but can you really arrest everyone?  At one point in time I think everyone has watched a movie online or downloaded a song without paying.  Besides, if the content is good it is likely to generate an abundance of money regardless, through the theater and purchases of DVD's. Whether piracy is good or bad isn't black or white, but more of a gray area instead.

What I want to learn in ICT this semester!!

I want to learn digital film making so that I will be able take and edit footage to then piece together and create a compelling video/movie that is intriguing and engaging to the eye of the viewer.
